However, I want to point out that there is a subtle, but critical, difference between idea generation and idea validation. Before reviewing any canvas, I make the entrepreneur/innovator sketch out a snapshot. This post was written to cover that activity.
During idea capture, I actually find it more insightful not to inject these “correct starting validation points” and rather let them describe the source of the idea — with biases and all.
Before you can break a bias, you have to be able to see it.
And before you can help another do the same, you have to help them see it.
