In the meanwhile, the way you get unbiased answers is by never asking future looking or hypothetical questions. I generally don’t care about what customers think or say they’ll do (because that’s unreliable) and instead only ask them to tell me what they have actually done.

Put them in the context of the last time they did the job and have them walk through all the details. For example: When was the last time you shared more than 30 photos at a time? Or, when was the last time you planned a dinner and movie night with 5 friends? If they can’t remember, I’ll cut the interview short. Otherwise, we’ll unpack that story with all the nitty gritty details.
